He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. He was a Professor with The University of Aizu, Aizuwakamatsu, Japan, from 2007 to 2016. He has more than 400 papers published in major conferences and journals. His main research interests include big data, cloud computing and networking, and distributed systems. Prof. Guo’s work was recognized by the 2016 Annual Best of Computing: Notable Books and Articles in Computing in ACM Computing Reviews. He is the recipient of the 2017 IEEE Systems Journal Annual Best Paper Award and five other Best Paper Awards from IEEE/ACM conferences. His research has been sponsored by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), MIC Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan (MIC), National Science Foundation, USA (NSF), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and industrial companies. He was an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON PARALLEL AND DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS from 2011 to 2015 and an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer from 2016 to 2017. She was an NSERC Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Université du Québec, Montréal, QC, Canada, from 2018 to 2020. She is currently an Assistant Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, ÉTS, Montreal, and a Visiting Researcher with the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Nanyang Technologi-cal University, Singapore. Her main research interests include cloud computing, energy efficiency, smart grid, frequency support, and vehicle-to-grid. She is a website Co-Chair of the N2Women community. She is also the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Montreal Young Professionals Affinity Group. She has also been a TPC Co-Chair for IEEE INFOCOM 2020 and ACM MobiCom 2020 workshops on DroneCom.
