Abstract
In this paper we propose a new method for the measurement of the relative group delay of WDM components, based on photonic microwave technique using a low frequency (below 1.3 GHz) scalar network analyzer. Experimental results demonstrate that this technique has the advantages of low cost, simplicity, and high accuracy (less than ± 1 ps).
