Abstract

Power industry restructuring has brought new challenges to the generation unit maintenance scheduling (UMS) problem. In the new electricity market environment, the traditional mechanism and approaches to unit maintenance scheduling are no longer directly applicable, some revisions are necessary so as to cater for the new circumstances. In recent years, quite a lot of research work has been done in this area around the globe, and in this paper a biographical survey is made.
