Abstract
This paper presents the fuzzy control of switching dc-dc power converters based on the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy modeling approach. First, we derive the TS model for the switching converter. Second, a nonlinear fuzzy controller is designed accordingly. Thanks to the large-signal consideration during the design, and the nonlinear characteristics of the controller, improved dynamic responses over those using conventional methods are achieved. An application example on regulating a non-minimum phase PWM boost converter will be given.
