Frequency domain analysis of exponential-type nonlinearity

Abstract

In this paper, a new algorithm for calculating the generalized frequency response function (GFRF) of the exponential-type nonlinear system is proposed. An auxiliary equation is introduced to transform the original exponential nonlinear equations into the polynomial nonlinear equations. The advantages of the proposed algorithm, for example, with many fewer parameters of interest and higher computational efficiency, are demonstrated, which can greatly facilitate the nonlinear characteristic output spectrum based analysis and design of exponential-type nonlinear system that widely exists in engineering practice.
