Formal specification and management of multi-layered configuration file in dynamic distributed systems

Abstract

The tree-structured multi-layered configuration file provides a flexible and clear structure, and rich graph-oriented configuration operations for the dynamic re-configuration distributed system. The extended graph-oriented model (ExGOM) as a fundamental part was proposed to support non-deterministic dynamic configuration, including plannable dynamic configuration and unpredicted dynamic configuration. The hierarchical structure, formal description and action semantics, and management for configuration file were presented.
