Abstract

Concrete Filled Double Skin (CFDST) has excellent structural behaviour and potential to be used as columns in infrastructures and buildings. Fire endurance is a main concern which need be addressed before using CFDST with confidence in structures. This paper presents a parametric study to identify major parameters which influence the fire behaviour of CFDST columns. Then, guidelines for the fire resistance design of CFDST columns are proposed.
