Abstract

In response to various confusions related to interaction design and information design, this book introduces the concepts and frameworks concerned to information, information design, and the emerging Interaction Design. The book creatively discusses the relationship between Human-computer Interaction (HCI), emerging design fields and other traditional design fields, also comprehensively annotates the partly-overlapped relationship among design, computer science and cognitive psychology. Moreover, this book puts forward the originally created concepts of Fields and Fields Interaction Design (FID), to lay the foundation for exploring the mainstream design methodology in the post-information society. The main aim of this study is to create a comprehensive intermediary between users and their surrounding environment by exploring Fields as a key aesthetic factor, to eventually achieve a design method for approaching better user interactive experiences from the perspective of Aesthetics.
