Abstract

Copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) and copper hexadecafluorophthalocyanine (F16CuPc) nanowires were fabricated by vapor deposition. The nanowires were studied by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Field emission properties of these nanowires were studied. The field emission properties were strongly dependent on the substrate temperature and the material used, and the best results are obtained for β-phase CuPc nanoribbons. Different dependences of field emission properties on the substrate temperature were obtained for the two materials investigated. The obtained results are discussed.
