Abstract
This paper provides a systematic review of some methods for the simultaneous measurement of strain and temperature based on Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor. They are photo-generated in-fibre gratings, hybrid FBG/LPG (long-period grating), two FBGs, a single changed FBG and superstructure fibre grating. The principle and accuracy of each type of measurement method are discussed. The unsolved problems are also discussed.
