Abstract
In this paper, a distributed Fabry-Perot (F-P) interferometer filter has been formed in a fiber core by UV laser inscribing of two overlapped chirped-fiber Bragg gratings. Tuning of wavelength spacing has been realized by using a beam-bending chirp rate tuning method for the gratings. The achieved filter has been used for fiber lasers with different gain media of a Raman fiber amplifier or a semiconductor optical amplifier. Multiwavelength fiber laser operation with tunable wavelength spacing of 0.3-0.6 nm has been achieved.
