Abstract

This paper presents a finite element model using ABAQUS package to simulate the behavior of the SCC filled CFDST columns subjected to fires. A sequentially-coupled thermal-stress analysisprocedure is adopted in the analysis. The thermal and structural responses of the columns are simulated respectively. Finally, the standard fire testing results are used to verify the proposed finite element model.
