Abstract

This paper presents our previous and current studies on the fatigue performance of z-pin reinforcement. Z-pin pullout tests under cyclic load were used to study the interfacial bonding and friction degradation. Double-Cantilever Beam (DCB) Mode I delamination tests under cyclic loads were performed to examine crack growth and failure mechanism of z-pinned DCB.
