Fast computation of torque-speed characteristics of induction machines

Abstract

Torque-speed characteristics are very important properties for the electric motors. With these characteristics, the relationship between power, torque, speeds, load can be determined. Finite element method (FEM) is a very accurate numerical method to calculate the steady and transient performance of electric machines [1-3].
