Fabrication of long period fibre gratings using plano-convex microlens array to control harmonics

Abstract

In this paper, we present a novel long period grating fabrication technique that can control the higher harmonics resonant peaks. By using plano-convex microlens array with different thickness, the higher harmonic peaks in LPGs can be selectively enhanced or suppressed.
