Abstract
The indoor air speeds in three air-conditioned compartments were studied experimentally. These sites included an environmental chamber, a small control room, and a large badminton court at a foreign university. Evaluation of thermal comfort was made using the air diffusion performance index (ADPI) and the percentage dissatisfied (PD). Results show that the air diffusion performance would not be improved by only changing the supply flow rates. The airflow pattern is proposed to be determined as well.
