Abstract
The application of the square-wave compensation concept to the design of voltage dip restorer is presented in this paper. Both single square wave and multipulse square wave are used in this analysis. Both methods have shown to have a fast dynamic response as compared to that with sinusoidal compensation. The multipulse square wave can also compensate for zero crossIng and the resultant distortion is small. Experimental results are reported to confirm the proposed method.
