Abstract

As the world's largest organization in the field, the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) held its annual ENETR conference in Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Lausanne, Switzerland on 18-20 January 2006. Interestingly, such an arrangement of time and venue enabled the conference delegates to personally experience two obvious but harmonized contradictions. The first contradiction related to the warm hospitality from the conference organizer and the cold local weather. Another contradiction was the presentation of the latest technological developments in the world's oldest hotel school.
