Abstract
Twenty-six undergraduate students took a seven-week course that teaches GenAIassisted academic writing and writing as a process. Students learned to use ChatGPT as a peer partner to: (i) stimulate critical thinking; (ii) foster original ideas; (iii) organize arguments to improve textual coherence; and, (iv) aid in proofreading. Results showed a positive change in quality of writing, GenAI skills and attitudes towards the use of GenAI after the course.
