Abstract

The enhancement of wavelength detection accuracy in fiber Bragg grating sensors was investigated by using a spectrum correlation technique. An edge filter was used to directly convert the wavelength shift to intensity variation which was further converted into an electric signal by using photo-detector. The results showed that the given technique provided higher detection accuracy with respect to the conventional peak detection technique.
