Abstract
The temperature dependences of the dielectric, elastic, piezoelectric properties of Sr modified PMN-PT ceramics have been investigated. Enhanced electromechanical properties have been induced by the electrical field induced phase transition from the monoclinic to the tetragonal phase. Sr substituting Pb shifts this phase transition to low temperature. The enhanced piezoelectric activity facilitates its applications in cryogenic temperature range.
