Enhancement of distribution network security by a feeder group approach

Abstract

This paper presents an innovative feeder group approach for the distribution network. The design concept and the special features of feeder utilization, load transfer capabilities among regional substations as well as the security enhancement are discussed. The design concept of an improved hybrid feeder group is proposed, which is capable of reducing the outage time of power interruption due to cable fault.
