Enhanced blind modulation format identification in stokes space utilizing adaptive clustering algorithm

Abstract

A Stokes-space based modulation format identification technique is proposed for coherent optical receivers using adaptive clustering algorithms. Successful identification can be realized among five different modulation formats in dual-polarization optical fiber systems.
