Abstract
The effects of electropulsing on microstructure changes and phase transformations of a tempered Mg-9Al-lZn alloy sheet were investigated by using X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The results indicate that with increasing frequency of electropulsing, precipitation and decomposition of P-phase were tremendously accelerated sequentially. The effects of electropulsing on single-point diamond turning processing were investigated by examining cutting force and surface roughness variations, and are discussed from the point of view of dislocation dynamics.
