Abstract

Temporal evolution of dust resuspension from a cloth surface exposed to a force-induced vibration was studied with the help of cloth motion analysis. More than 70% of the dust was reported to be resuspended within 20 seconds. The cloth motion was demonstrated as an essential element for theoretical studies in this scenario. Understanding the underlying mechanisms can provide guidelines for building a healthy indoor environment.
