Abstract

The interfacial adhesion between the glass bead and PPO matrix was improved using in-situ copolymerized PSt coating the glass bead surface. The improved interfacial adhesion is favorable to transmit the impact force and to absorb the fracture energy. On the other hand, reducing the size of filler was helpful for improving the toughness of composites.
