Abstract

This chapter extends the iterative order reduction method for fast computation of the structural responses and response sensitivities of large-scale structures in the time domain (Weng et al., Mech. Syst. Signal Process. 88:302–317, 2017). A dynamic transformation matrix in relating the responses of the master DOFs to the slave DOFs is derived with a simplified iterative scheme, based on which the response and response sensitivity are calculated from a condensed vibration equation.
