N2 - Directional modulation (DM) has been studied from many different aspects recently. However, the overall transmission power of the antenna array for each symbol is not considered. In many practical scenarios, the power supply to the system is rather limited, and therefore, the transmission power of the antenna array may need to be restricted. In this paper, a fixed power constraint for DM design is proposed, and the non-convex constraint can be modified into a convex form, which can be easily solved by existing convex optimisation toolboxes.
