Abstract

Digital nomadism has facilitated the development of new services and products. Coworking spaces are emerging businesses in popular nomad destinations. Digital nomads are attracted to such spaces because they serve as a venue for lifestyle-based bonding with like-minded people. This study brings digital nomads to the tourism agenda and defines this concept in the scope of tourism and hospitality research. To enhance the understanding of digital nomads as tourists, this study connects digital nomads’ lifestyles with the perceived value of coworking spaces during travel. Qualitative inductive content analysis was conducted through semistructured interviews with participants. Relationships between lifestyles and coworkation experiences were discovered.
