Abstract
A new kind of homodyne transmitter/receiver ‘Doppler radar’ device has been developed in which the Doppler beat envelope is pulse-sampled by the self-mixing action in a pulsed transferred electron diode. The advantages of such a system are discussed and the techniques for extracting the signal are described.
