Abstract

This presentation examines the development and application of teaching materials designed to enhance both critical thinking skills and language proficiency for university students for an elective course. Following the Task-based Learning (TBL) approach, the materials guide students through the stages of input comprehension, learning processing, and output production. This presentation will showcase a variety of materials developed by the teachers and adapted from online resources, integrating critical thinking skills with learning English as a second language (ESL). The presenter will also share thoughts on materials development to help students, particularly those with lower English competence, cultivate a critical mindset through language skills.
