Abstract

A comprehensive study of the combination of metallic textile design and digital processing have been provided. The introduction of metallization to textiles improve its functional properties, opening new doors for intelligent textile and garments. The effort to exploit the integration technique in printing metallic fabric will generate various styles and more decorative effects on the textiles. The printing appearance on various substrates of metallic fabrics can be diversely extended by using the computer aided design process. This will increase productivity, reduced product development time, increased creativity to improve conceptual design, high product design capability, reduced cost of samples and prototypes and reduced turnaround time.
