Abstract

This paper introduces a new 2-degree of freedom switched reluctance motor to tracking the position of sunlight for a concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) power generation system for the electric vessel. A modified control method has been suggested as the control scheme to ensure stability and accuracy of the tracker's operation. Finally, the experimental results have suggested that the efficiencies and accuracy of the new tracker are better than that of conventional tracking system.
