Abstract
The design of dispersion managed (DM) soliton systems was presented. The dependence of pulse stretching factors and energy enhancement on the length ratio of the fiber segments in two-step dispersion maps was studied for zero, anomalous and normal average dispersion. For a given map strength, energy enhancement was found to increase with increase in the length of normal dispersion fiber.
