Design of a 980/1550-nm metasurface beam splitter and its application for EDFA

Abstract

We propose two 980/1550-nm metasurface-based beam splitters for an EDFA system. As we know, this is the first scheme that applies metasurfaces in EDFA, and the simulation results show the transmission efficiency is over 50%.
