Abstract

The authors investigated the effects of dyeing process parameters on colour variation in denim products after garment bleaching. The paper reports experiments on the effects of parameters such as pH, and of the reducing agent used on the colour variation after the bleaching process. Samples dyed with low pH and high levels of excess hydrosulphite will fade more easily in the bleaching process.
