Abstract
This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of sustainable machining and micro-machining, beginning with an exploration of their definitions and underlying concepts. It proceeds to review the current state of research in these areas, highlighting significant achievements and identifying the primary challenges that persist. The discussion then transitions to strategies for enhancing the sustainability of micro-machining and machining practices, with a particular focus on managerial implications. Through this analysis, the chapter contributes to the ongoing discourse on sustainable manufacturing practices.
