Abstract

The problems of H∞decentralized control and quadratic stabilization via local state feedback are studied for large-scale symmetric composite descriptor systems. These systems are encountered in electric power systems, industrial manipulators, computer networks. Necessary and sufficient conditions for H∞decentralized control and quadratic stabilization for the systems are derived based on generalized Riccati inequalities. The decentralized controllers can be constructed by solving two lower orders generalized Riccati inequalities with generalized constraint conditions.
