Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an all-optical tunable delay line based on slow light induced by stimulated Brillouin scattering in a highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF) and study the distortion of data pulses with different pulse widths and the induced pattern-dependent distortion on non-return-to-zero data in slow-light systems.
