Abstract

The paper presents a study of surface texture characterization of knitted fabrics during simulated wear based on laser-scanned profiles. The three-dimensional profile was obtained by scanning the fabric surface using the laser triangulation technique. The analytical techniques used to derive quantitative parameters including statistical analysis, fractal analysis, and Fourier analysis.
