Abstract
A design method for nylon metallic fabric design was studied by applying the chemical etching treatments and dyeing techniques. The present study was aimed to evaluate the influence of chemical treatments on the nylon metallic fabric for the development of decorative textiles. A series of experiments were conducted using acid and alkali solutions followed by dyeing process. The investigation explored the effect of various parameters including chemical concentration, temperature, and time scale on nylon metallic fabric. The appearance of the chemical-treated nylon metallic fabric was thoroughly discussed in this paper.
