Abstract

An elastic constitutive model is proposed to describe the mechanical property of bio-materials that possesses strain limits. Analytical solution for the Mode I crack tip behavior is obtained. The tensile strain limit can be reached by approaching the crack tip in any direction while the compression strain limit can only be reached in two sectors of the crack tip domain.
