Abstract
The development of an automatic device, based on mobile platform, was discussed. The coordinated control between atop device and mobile platform was made through automatic control system software design. All ActiveMedia robots used a client-server mobile robot control architecture. The robotic controller servers and the Pioneer 2 Operating system managed all the low-level functions of the mobile robotic systems.
