Abstract

This chapter presents the architecture of cooperative device-to-device communication in a multi-cell multi-channel wireless network. Two cooperation modes, amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward, are introduced for cooperative communication among D2D users and relay nodes. After that, three main challenges of relay assignment, transmission scheduling and channel allocation are presented.
