Abstract

Service robots have been increasingly used in the hotel industry since the labor shortage problem in the field is getting more severe. While the narratives given by hotels to justify/rationalize their robot adoption decisions are different, no prior studies have attempted to analyze the content of their narratives. This exploratory study collected and analyzed the narratives of service robot adoption given by the top 50 hotel brands.
