Abstract
This technical note presents a new analytical solution for consolidation analysis of soil with vertical drains under ramp load. The solution is described in detail. A new normalised time factor, T, is suggested. It is shown in the note that the average degree of consolidation exhibits very good normalised behaviour using this new T. Results are presented in figures and tables for practical applications.
