Consolidation of soil under depth-dependent ramp load

Abstract

This technical note presents a mathematical solution for the consolidation analysis of a soil layer with a change in vertical total stress that varies linearly with depth and time and then remains unchanged after a certain period of time. The solution is described in detail. Results are presented as figures and tables for practical applications.
