Abstract
A mathematical solution for the consolidation analysis of a double layered soil profile under depth dependent ramp loading is presented. The expressions for u(z, Tv) and U(Tv) include the influence of the permeability, compressibility and thickness of each layer. The related eigenvalues for the equation are also presented.
