Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of various hotel management objectives by target markets when proposing a new hotel. The study revealed that 'effective utilization of location characteristics' and 'maintaining customer satisfaction and good image' are the two most important management objectives that should be considered when proposing a new hotel. Univariate and multivariate analyses (ANOVA and factor analysis) indicate that while these two management objectives appear to be most important regardless of the target market, there were some differences in hotel management objective importance by target markets.
