Abstract
With the development of LED technology, spectral tuning and spectral engineering are becoming more and more popular. The spectra are generally engineered to enhance the visual or non-visual response introduced by optical radiation. Color quality, an important component of lighting quality, attracts considerable attention of the LED manufacturers. This paper reports two hypothesis-driven psychophysical studies which were conducted in full-scaled rooms, revealing the important considerations for LED spectral engineering.
